The survey is based on the German-speaking population aged 14 years and older in private households at main residence in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Information on random sample:
2013: 8,702 respondents, projected base of 70.33 million people
2014: 8,156 respondents, projected base of 70.52 million people
2015: 7,009 respondents, projected base of 69.24 million people
The source phrased the survey question as follows: "When purchasing electronic devices like TVs, computers, phones or cameras, where you usually buy these products? Please tell me according to this list." (Original German survey question: "Wenn Sie technische Geräte wie Fernseher, Computer, Telefon und Kameras kaufen, wo kaufen Sie diese Geräte dann normalerweise? Bitte sagen Sie es mir nach dieser Liste hier.")
