This statistic shows the share of businesses with positive attitudes towards cross-border trade using the Chinese yuan (CNY) as currency for trade and settlement in Greater China as of February 2015. During the survey, 55 percent of respondents anticipated their CNY cross-border business in Hong Kong to increase during the following 12 months.

A total of 1,610 businesses had been interviewed in 14 markets until February 2015. Included markets were: Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Canada, United States, United Arab Emirates and Brazil
. All businesses selected for the survey had an annual sales revenue of three million U.S. dollars and above.
The orginal question posed was: In the next 12 months, do you expect your level of RMB cross-border business to increase? By what percentage compared to your RMB cross-border business in 2014?
