In 2021, the number of international tourists who stayed at short-term rentals in Spain increased by more than 45 percent, after a strong decline in 2020 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Nevertheless, the number remained significantly lower than in the immediate pre-pandemic years.
