The total number of domestic tourism trips in Czechia decreased to 62.8 million since the previous year. In 2020, the total number of domestic tourism trips thereby reached its lowest value in the recent years. In accordance with the International Recommendations on Tourism Statistics (IRTS), domestic tourism trips refer to the number of trips (including same-day and overnight visits) made by visitors resident in the country of reference. Visitors are defined as travelers visiting a destination outside their usual environment, for less than a year, for any travel purpose (business, leisure, or personal purpose) other than to be employed.
