Nights spent in hotels on domestic trips in Hungary 2012-2021
The nights spent in hotels and similar establishments in Hungary increased by 823.7 thousand nights (+10.46 percent) in 2021 in comparison to the previous year. In total, the nights spent in hotels and similar establishments amounted to 8.7 million nights in 2021.
According to the NACE REV.2 classification, ‘hotels and similar accommodation’ includes the provision of accommodation to visitors typically on a daily or weekly basis, principally for short stays. These include hotels and similar establishments (for instance operating as ‘bed & breakfast’), resort hotels, suite/apartment hotels, and motels. More permanent accommodation, such as homes and apartments typically offered on a monthly or annual basis, are not included.
