While the largest share of consumers went to supermarkets to buy fresh fruits (almost 34 percent) in 2022, almost eight percent of shoppers purchased them at hypermarkets. Traditional shops followed supermarkets closely with a market share of 31.9.

The data were collected from the "Panel de consumo alimentario", a study by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food included in the National Statistical Plan and prepared from data provided by the company Taylor Nelson Sofres SAU.
