This statistic shows the share of internet users by level of education in Germany from 2002 to 2016. In 2016, 99 percent of students in Germany used the internet. Data on the internet usage of university or college graduates have only been recorded separately from students with Abitur since 2011. In 2016, the share of university graduates, who used the internet amounted to 93 percent.

The base for this survey is the German-speaking residential population ages 14 and above with a household landline connection. Survey participants were selected by means of a standardized random selection process according to industry standards.
