German companies dominated the automobile & parts sector, and in terms of market value took the top four spots, and one further German company was in the top 13. The remainder of the companies that made the list were based in either France, Italy, or the United Kingdom (UK). Volkswagen had the highest market value in the last year, amounting to 124.3 billion U.S. dollars.
