German companies dominated the automobile & parts sector, and in terms of annual turnover took the two top spots, and a further two German companies were in the top 12. The remainder of the companies that made the list were based in either France, Italy, or the United Kingdom (UK). Volkswagen had the highest turnover in the last year, amounting to 244.8 billion U.S. dollars.
