The consumption of packaged liquid milk in Spain stood at 3,180 million kilos in 2019, a figure similar regarding of previous years. In spite of this, milk consumption in Spanish households has fallen since the year 2000, among other things, due to the boom in substitute products such as in the consumption of vegetable drinks, popular among lactose intolerant or vegans.
