Life insurance distribution channels in Belgium 2004-2022

Brokers are increasingly the most important distribution channel for life insurance in Belgium and overtook bancassurance for the first time in 2017. In 2022, approximately 44 percent of life insurance policies were sold by brokers, while bancassurance accounted for approximately 35 percent of sales.
