The value of remittances received in Mexico has been increasing in the past decade, reaching a new highest amount in 2021. That year, the amount of money sent by foreign residents to Mexico amounted to approximately 51.6 billion U.S. dollars. During this time, the largest share of remittances received in Mexico originated from the United States.
