JD Sports Fashion: store numbers worldwide 2023, by brand

JD Sports Fashion, one of the UK’s leading sports and footwear brand, closed the financial year 2022/2023 with an increased number of retail stores through new acquisitions. As highlighted in this statistic, from January 2023, JD acted as parent company to approximately 3,390 stores in total, including brands such as Chausport in France and Finish Line in the United States. With new retailers acquired worldwide, JD Sports once again expanded its retail space across its sports fashion retail division in 2023.  

Growth outside the UK

 Not surprisingly, over the past three years, stores affiliated and owned by JD Sports in Europe and the rest of the world increased their contribution to the company’s overall revenue. As of 2023, the company generated slightly over 60 percent of its turnover outside of the UK. Specifically, some 31 percent was earned in North America, while slightly over a quarter of JD Sports Fashion's sales were made in other European countries.

Most popular fashion brands

In Great Britain, some of the most popular fashion, footwear, and clothing brands include large and recognizable names, such as Nike, TK Maxx, Next, and so on. As of the fourth quarter of 2021, Clarks and Levi's were, respectively, the brands most beloved by British consumers.
