JD Sports Fashion revenue worldwide 2011-2023

Sports fashion retailer JD Sports’ revenue in the past 12-years has been nowhere near flat. In financial year 2023, it reached a value of over ten billion British pounds, more than ten times higher than it was in 2011. The British specialist retailer’s rampant revenue growth also helped increase its share in UK apparel market more than at a double rate.

Internationally bigger

JD Sports is a multiple retailer with a focus on sports fashion and outdoors retail. One factor in JD Sports’ growth trend is the number of international sports brands the British retailer owns through acquisitions. In addition to some 1107 JD Stores all over the world, the retailer also operates a growing number of stores of international sports, athleisure and outdoors brands.  

JD Sports vs Sports Direct

JD Sports is lauded as the most successful sports retailer in the UK. One of its closest rivals in the same category is Sports Direct, who has also been following an expansion strategy, but with a recent focus that is concentrating more on UK department stores.
