In 2022, the number of non-fatal road traffic injuries in Switzerland increased by 1,364 individuals (+6.64 percent) since 2021. In total, the number of non-fatal road traffic injuries amounted to 21,898 individuals in 2022. Road injuries refer to the number of people harmed during a road accident involving at least one motor vehicle. These injuries can be fatal or non-fatal. Non-fatal injuries cover a broad spectrum of reported injuries, including but not limited to hospital stays after an accident.
