Spending generated by music tourism in the UK 2016-2022
The total expenditure generated by music tourism in the United Kingdom increased by 40.4 percent in 2022 compared to 2019. While festivals and music venues had to close to the public for several months in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, music clubs and events returned in 2022. That year, direct and indirect spending by music tourists in the UK, including domestic and inbound visitors, amounted to approximately 6.6 billion British pounds.
