In 2015, there were approximately 269,741 industrial natural gas customers in the country. Canada is one of the largest producers and exporters of natural gas in the world energy market.

Customers represent those with bills and meters and not necessarily all consumers of natural gas. Industrial includes gas sold to customers engaged in a process that creates or changes raw or unfinished materials into another form or product. Includes firm, interruptible and buy/sell agreements.
