A survey from November to December 2022 showed that around three in 10 online Canadians felt extremely concerned about their personal information being used by others for identity theft. According to the same survey, only ten percent of respondents reported feeling unconcerned about this. Overall, the percentage of those extremely concerned about the problem, has decreased between 2018 and 2022.
