This statistic shows the results of a survey on the awareness of cookies among internet users in Germany from 2013 to 2015. A cookie contains information on usage behavior and visited websites, which the browser software collects without request during surfing. In 2013, there were about 8.15 million internet users among the German-speaking population aged 14 years and older, who had never heard of cookies.
