This statistics shows the opinion of Americans and Germans on the free trade agreement between the U.S. and the EU which is known as the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). In 2015, around 21% of Americans and 36% of Germans thought that TTIP would be a bad thing for their country. Out of those, 61% of Germans feared that TTIP would lower the food, environment and auto safety standards.

The report examines American and German attitudes toward each other and their respective geopolitical roles based on the telephonic survey conducted in both the countries.
