This statistic shows the distribution of domiciles of investment funds, which invest in companies engaged in renewable energy and climate change sector in Europe as of December 2014, ranked by the country share of all assets under management. It was found that Luxembourg dominated the market with 69 percent of the assets under management of European funds domiciled in this country in 2014.

Responsible investment is defined by EUROSIF as "any type of investment process that combines investors’ financial objectives with their concerns about Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues."
The source further defines renewable energy and climate change funds as: "Funds investing at least 80% of the assets in equities of companies engaged in new or renewable energy (biomass, wind/solar power, etc). Funds that invest in similar
sectors but are not equity funds (e.g. bonds, money market or guaranteed funds)
have also been classified under this sub-category".
