Market size of SRI strategies in the Netherlands 2013-2017
The statistic shows the size of the Socially Responsible Investments (SRI) market in the Netherlands from 2013 to 2017, ranked by investment strategies. SRI (in full: sustainable, responsible and impact investing) is an investment tool which is based on environmental, social and corporate governance (ERG) criteria to generate both long-term financial returns as well as a positive impact on society and the environment. Unfortunately, no single approach exists to SRI due to its many emphases. Investors therefore sometimes use terms such as community investing, green investing or sustainable investing. With approximately 725 billion euros worth of investments, engagement and voting was the biggest SRI strategy in the Netherlands in 2017.
