Nissan had the greatest share of its sales come from passenger cars with electric or fuel cell engines some 7.3 percent. Many brands sold much more electric-powered vehicles in 2019. Although many brands had not penetrated the battery electric vehicle market in 2019, large manufacturers began mass production of new EV models.
