The number of employees in the extraction of crude petroleum and natural gas industry in Lithuania increased by six employees (+7.14 percent) since the previous year. Accordingly, 2022 was the first time during the observed period that the number of employees in this industry has increased in Lithuania. According to Eurostat employed persons are all persons aged 15 and over who performed work, even for just one hour per week, for pay, profit or family gain during the reference week or were not at work but had a job or business from which they were temporarily absent because of, for instance, illness, holidays, industrial dispute, and education or training.
