Clothing and footwear: share of household spending in Europe 2022, by country
In 2022, in France, just over three percent of household expenditure went to clothing and footwear consumption. This was lower than Portugal, where the clothing and footwear share of expenditure was 5.2 percent. However, in Romania, the clothing and footwear share of expenditure was some six percent, which is the highest share recorded among the analyzed countries.
