Assets of the banking sector in Brazil 2002-2022
The value of total assets of the banking industry in Brazil increased significantly between 2002 and 2022. In 2022, Brazilian banks reported assets amounting to roughly 2.3 trillion U.S. dollars, up from two trillion U.S. dollars a year earlier. In comparison, the total assets of the banking industry in Mexico amounted to roughly 644 billion U.S. dollars in the same year.
