Web browser market share in Hungary 2024
Chrome was the most widely used browser in Hungary with 75 percent market share in 2024, while Safari followed with 10.21 percent. Firefox ranked third, accounting for over five percent of the market.
Operating systems
In 2022, Windows was the leading desktop operating system in Hungary with a market share of almost 90 percent. It was followed by OS X with a market share of approximately six percent. When it comes to mobile operating systems, Android was by far the most popular, accounting for approximately 80 percent of the market. As for operating systems for tablet computers, Android ranked first again, with a market share of 66 percent.
Most common online activities
According to a survey conducted in 2023, e-mail service usage was the most common online activity in Hungary, practiced by approximately 93 percent of the respondents. Researching products and services was the second most popular answer, selected by 92.7 percent of survey participants.
