Children's arts activities: participation by gender 2020

Reading and writing activities were the most popular arts activity for children aged 11 to 15 in England. The majority of children also participated in film and video activities, with 80.4 percent of girls and 77.1 percent of boys surveyed saying they had taken part in such activities in the last year in 2019/20. Children aged 5 to 10 also had a high participation rate for film and arts activities.
