Investments of pension funds in eurozone 2006-2016
The statistic shows the total value of pension funds investments in the Eurozone from 2006 to 2016. In 2006, the investments of pension funds amounted to above 1.74 trillion U.S. dollars. They decreased by around 300 billion U.S. dollars from 2007 to 2008 in the midst of the global recession. By the end of 2016, Eurozone pension funds assets reached over 2.47 trillion U.S. dollars.
