Financial services complaints received by the Financial Ombudsman in the UK 2008-2023

The number of complaints received by the Financial Ombudsman in the UK decreased slightly in 2023 compared to the previous year. Between April 2022 and March 2023, the Financial Ombudsman received 165,149 complaints, just 100 fewer than the previous year. The highest number of complaints on record was between April 2009 and March 2010, when almost one million complaints were filed.
