The natural gas prices for household consumers has drastically increased in Romania in 2022. Compared to the price for natural gas that household consumers were paying in the second semester of 2021 the price has almost tripled in the same semester of the following year, the average price for household consumers in 2022 was 12.65 euro cents per kilowatt-hour. However, in 2023, the prices dropped considerably, reaching a price of 5.58 euro cents in the second half of 2023.
