The industry forecast is based on sector 18 of the industry branch classification of the Statistisches Bundesamt. This sector includes the printing of products like newspapers, magazines, books, business forms, greeting cards etc. as well as support services like bookbinding, the production of printing plates and data imaging. These supporting services are an integral part in the production of printed products, and a product (printing plate, computer storage disc or file), that is an integral part of the production of printed products is almost always produced within the range of these services.
