This statistic presents the banking status of households in the United States in 2017, by age group. It was observed that 10 percent of the U.S. households in which the family head was in 15-24 age group didn't have a bank account.
Banking status of households in the United Status 2017, by age of family head
Total number of survey respondents: 35,217. Unbanked households are those without an account at an insured institution. Underbanked households have an account at an insured institution, but have also obtained financial services and products from non-bank, alternative financial services (AFS) providers in the last 12 months.
