Risks of crowdfunding by reason in Europe 2013

This statistic presents the distribution of crowdfunding risks by reason, among them fraud, failure of project, misleading advertising and contributors not getting their investment back, according to crowdfunding professional and private users in selected European countries as of December 2013. Approximately 27 percent of respondents considered misleading advertising too high of a risk, but further 47 percent reported it was an acceptable risk, and over 16 percent dismissed it as negligible. Approximately 72 percent were accepting of the project failure risk.

Geographical breakdown of the sample: 254 France, 151 Germany, significant contribution from Italy, the UK, Spain, Austria and Belgium (all between eight and five percent of the sample). Malta and Norway not represented in consultation."
