M&A activity in Baltic States: sector share in total deal value 2021-2022

In 2021 and 2022, companies in the technology, media, and telecommunications sector (TMT) had the largest share of total value of merger and acquisition (M&A) deals in the Baltic States economy. This sector also saw the largest total M&A deal volume in the Baltic States for the same time period. Among the different sectors of the economy, the TMT sector led the market at 51 percent of the total M&A deal value, followed by the energy, mining and utilities sector, at 30 percent of total deal value. The top three is completed by the financial services sector, at eight percent of total M&A deal value in the Baltic States market.
