German sales of Mitsubishi cars fell following the Great Recession but have grown steadily since 2013, reaching some 52,000 units sold in 2019. Global automotive market disruptions, among which the COVID-19 pandemic, the semiconductor shortage and the raw material price inflation, led to sales decreases for Mitsubishi. In 2023, the brand sold some 19,000 cars in Germany, a year-over-year dip of 45 percent.
