German sales of Peugeot cars peaked at approximately 130,200 units in 2009, but had fallen to 54,700 units sold in 2013. Though they had since increased slightly up to over 72,200 cars sold in 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic and semiconductor shortage contributed to dampening this growth. In 2023, some 46,840 Peugeot cars were sold in Germany, up 3.6 percent year-over-year.
