This statistic shows the results of a survey concerning the spending behavior of women when buying sportswear in Germany in 2011. The question was part of Outfit 7, the biggest market survey for clothing, shoes and accessories in Germany. During the survey period it was found that roughly 13 percent of respondents stated that they usually spend less than 20 euros on sportswear.

Basis: resident German population, aged 14 to 69 years.
Total sample: 5,671 respondents, projected to a population of 43.24 million people
Target group "women": 2,838 respondents, projected to a population of 20.35 million people
Survey question: "How much do you usually spend on one piece of clothing (e.g. one coat, one pair of trousers)? Please state for each of the named pieces of clothing how much you usually spend." (Original German question: "Wie viel geben Sie normalerweise für ein Kleidungsstück (z.B. 1 Mantel, 1 Hose) aus? Tragen Sie bitte bei jedem der aufgeführten Kleidungsstücke ein, wie viel Sie dafür normalerweise ausgeben.")
