The number Transport for London bicycle hires peaked in July 2018, at approximately 1.25 million hires. With figures for summer 2019 slightly lower, oscillating between one million bikes hired in May and 1.05 million hired in August. Unsurprisingly winter months saw noticeably less hires than the warmer months.
