Newspaper revenue in Germany 2013-2023, by type of paper

According to the Federal Association of German Newspaper Publishers (BDZV), weekly and Sunday papers generated a total revenue of roughly 282 million euros in 2023, a decrease compared to the previous years. The revenue from daily papers, also saw a small decrease with around 6.4 billion euros in revenue. Print media in general has been experiencing declining sales in the past years, due to the digitalization of news and media.
