Both Bayer AG and Deutsche Telekom AG feature three times each in the list of largest all-time mergers and acquisitions in Germany. However, the largest all-time M&A deal was Vodafone AirTouch's (UK) 1999 acquisition of Mannesmann AG (DE) for 202.8 billion U.S. dollars. This was almost four time larger than the second largest deal which was Bayer AG's acquisition of Monsanto Co, which was valued at approximately 56.6 billion U.S. dollars.
