Importance of high street to local communities in Great Britain 2014, by region
This statistic shows the distribution of adults who agree and those who disagree that their local high street is an important part of the community, split by regions in Great Britain. Generally the high street is considered important to communities across the whole of Britain. In Wales, 88 percent of respondents regarded their local high street as an important part of the community. In the East Midlands this figure was slightly lower at 75 percent.
