In the first half of 2024, senior executives from 240 corporate and 90 private equity firms based in Europe, the Americas, and APAC regions were asked what sources of financing they think will be most available over the next 12 months. Private equity was quoted as the main way of funding available to corporates for M&A by 24 percent of respondents. Cash reserves and debt capital markets ranked second and third, indicated by 23 and 14 percent of respondents, respectively.
