M&A activity in technology field: acquisition motivations in Europe as of Q3 2014

The statistic presents the main drivers of acquisition activity in technology for 2015 and 2016 according to senior European executives in the TMT sector, as of the third quarter of 2014. The key factor was geographical reach, which was identified as the main motivation behind the last acquisition by 32 percent of respondents. The second most prominent factor was the search for an innovation opportunity: 24 percent of executives pointed to this as a motivating factor.
