This sector includes the production of films, including video and DVD recordings, for direct screenings (e.g. in cinemas) or for television shows; supporting activities like film montage, film editing and the addition of subtitles etc; distribution and sales of films to other industry branches, as well as the screening of films. The selling and purchasing of film copyrights is also included.
