Biggest M&A inbound deals in Africa and the Middle East 2022, by deal value
In 2022, the largest merger and acquisition (M&A) deal in the Africa and Middle East region was the acquisition of Tower Semiconductor Ltd by Intel Corp. This M&A deal was announced in February and the transaction was worth 5.8 billion U.S. dollars. This was followed by the acquisition of Samba Financial Group by The National Commercial Bank, for a deal value of 15.2 billion U.S. dollars. The third place ranking is completed by the acquisition of a 49 percent stake in ADNOC Gas Pipeline Assets LLC by various purchasing companies, for a deal value of 10.1 billion U.S. dollars.
