45 percent of households in the United Kingdom (UK) have two mobile phones, according to figures from Ofcom. Just two percent of households are without a mobile phone, while one in five have four or more mobile phones in the house.

In 2019, there were 80.97 million mobile subscriptions in the UK, across the entire population of 66.8 million inhabitants. Most mobile phone users are smartphone users, with the penetration rate of smartphones expected to reach 93.7 percent by 2025. Apple has been the most popular mobile device vendor since 2010, with a share just under 50 percent as of 2020.
