This statistic displays changes on English healthcare Wikipedia articles in five therapy areas in the last 12 months, as of January 2014. During this time, the breast cancer article had 100 edits in 5 months and 74 percent were considered major changes. These articles are constantly changing and many of the changes are considered major. Wikipedia has become a good starting point for many newly diagnosed patients and as the website is increasingly perceived as a neutral and reliable source, patients feel that using Wikipedia as a supplemental source can be beneficial.
