Millennials: attitudes on media trustworthiness worldwide 2019
A global survey held between late 2018 and early 2019 revealed that 43 percent of responding Millennials felt that the mass media has a negative impact on the world. Additionally, whilst 53 percent said that they had some trust in the media when it comes to accessing reliable and accurate information, 27 percent said that they did not trust the media for this purpose at all. Media trust has become a hot topic in recent years, with the advent of both actual and suspected fake news fueling paranoia, distrust, and disillusionment with traditional and digital media sources alike.
