In 2022, there were far more housing units completed in England than in all of the rest of the United Kingdom. After a drop in housing completions in 2020, coinciding with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of dwellings finished have been increasing every year. Most of those housing units were completed by private enterprises.
